The Shema - a Jewish prayer that serves as a centerpiece of the morning and evening Jewish prayer services.
 

The Shecheyanu - a Jewish blessing to celebrate new or special occasions.
 

Kiki Riki - A long-sleeved, high-necked, tight shirt, commonly worn under clothing. 
 

Tznius - refers to Jewish laws and customs around modest dress. 
 

Beis Din - Jewish court system 
 

Shtetl - A small Jewish town or village in eastern Europe.
 

Gemara -  the component of the Talmud comprising rabbinical analysis of and commentary on the Mishnah written in 63 books.
 

Eidim - Witnesses in a court of Jewish law. 
 

Halacha - Jewish Law. 
 

Baruch Hashem - an expression that literally means 'Blessed be God"
 

Elu velu divrei elokeim chayim - A term from the Talmud that literally translates to "this and this the words of God live". Often used to refer to the multi-truths the Torah and Jewish life can hold. 
Sukkah- a temporary hut constructed for use during the week-long Jewish festival of Sukkot.
 

Shomer Negiah - The term refers to someone who refrains from physical contact with members of the opposite sex.
 

Friday Night Kiddush - Blessing over the wine and sanctification of the day for Shabbat.
 

Hamotzi - Blessing Over the Bread
 

Mishloach Manot -  gifts of food or drink that are sent to family, friends and others on Purim day.
 

Off the Derech - means "off the path" - referring to those who were formally in the orthodox community and no longer are.
 

Talmidot - Students, feminine. 

Ol Malchut Shamayim - "Accepting the Kingship of Heaven" refers to the devotion one should have for God, even when not knowing the reasons for earthly events or experiences.
